"May You Have A Lively Thanksgiving Day!"

Many years ago, as my sisters and I divided up some of the things left to us by our grandparents, there was a huge stack of old post-cards.  I believe that I have something representing just about every holiday, such as the Thanksgiving one above, and promise to share some of the Christmas ones this next month.

As this posts, we are either on our way, or safely arrived (huge storm in the northeast today) in Saratoga, a little more than three hours from our home.  There we will gather - 23 family members from far and wide! Good food, good times (there will be a karaoke machine!), and wonderful Thanksgiving memories in the making.  I hope to share some pictures in Saturday's post.

The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest all is gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain,
So open wide the doorway---
Thanksgiving comes again!
