"Enjoy the satisfaction that comes from doing little things well." ~ H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

The interior sheet-rocking is complete! Bruce and I will prime the walls today, and paint them tomorrow. Mike, the sheet-rock guy, will trim everything out on Friday! Then - the electrician will put in the fixtures. Bruce and I are installing the floor (he says we can do it!), but what we are using had to be ordered, so we wait a bit more! Seeing the walls completed however, is such an incredible feeling of satisfaction! We are getting there!

"I can be impatient. But I don't think it's always a bad habit. Sometimes a little impatience can be a good thing. It keeps you motivated." ~ Brant Daugherty

And the beat goes on! Completion on some projects, and progress on others. First up, my "Burrow" shawl by Berroco is complete. I love it! It is so soft, and dense and I know will feel like heaven around my shoulders in colder weather. Make no mistake though - it was a lot of knitting! I'm ready to pick up a small "appetizer" project on my needles next.

Waiting on the back of my knitting/reading chair for cold weather!

In progress - the wiring for my studio is complete! Many thanks to our good friend Chic for ensuring that our ditch was dug in time! Now - here's hoping that we find someone to complete the interior soon - this girl is getting impatient!

"She's Here!"

My studio shed was delivered on Friday. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but a one-person delivery, as opposed to the "crew" that I had in my mind, wasn't it! Amazing, the way Jerry made it all seem so simple! There are a number of pictures below. along with a brief video toward the bottom. I think that it's so interesting to see the ease with which this was put in place!

We are waiting on electric to be hooked up, and then, having made the decision that this is a job too big for "Bruce and friends", we are trying to find someone to finish the interior. This is proving to be a challenge. While it's too big for them, it's too small for many professionals. So the waiting continues.

I guess that if I have been patient this long, I can be a while longer!

"It's an interesting combination: Having a great fear of being alone, and having a desperate need for solitude and the solitary experience. That's always been a tug of war for me." ~ Jodie Foster

Well, my studio shed has arrived on the lot! We visited it the other day and it has been completed exactly as we asked.

The gravel pad was installed last weekend.

Now we await word on delivery. Once it is here, it will be wired and Bruce (and friends) will finish the interior. Unfortunately, the phone pictures are not great. I have two walls with ample window light, and two walls that will house all of my shelving.

I can hardly believe that this is almost reality! The majority of my studio supplies were boxed and ready for moving before Thanksgiving 2015. I know that I will hardly be able to contain myself when I can finally unpack them in their new home. Probably sounds nutty to a lot of people, but I know that there are others who completely understand!

Trying a new font for my aging eyes. Hope it's easier on yours too!
