"It's an interesting combination: Having a great fear of being alone, and having a desperate need for solitude and the solitary experience. That's always been a tug of war for me." ~ Jodie Foster

Well, my studio shed has arrived on the lot! We visited it the other day and it has been completed exactly as we asked.

The gravel pad was installed last weekend.

Now we await word on delivery. Once it is here, it will be wired and Bruce (and friends) will finish the interior. Unfortunately, the phone pictures are not great. I have two walls with ample window light, and two walls that will house all of my shelving.

I can hardly believe that this is almost reality! The majority of my studio supplies were boxed and ready for moving before Thanksgiving 2015. I know that I will hardly be able to contain myself when I can finally unpack them in their new home. Probably sounds nutty to a lot of people, but I know that there are others who completely understand!

Trying a new font for my aging eyes. Hope it's easier on yours too!

  1. I am very happy for you! We all need space to store our creative supplies and room in which to grow creatively! Congratulations on your new studio!

    1. Thanks Linda! I'm very excited! No running water, but it will be so close to the house, I'm not concerned about that. As for heat, that is still being determined. I am not here in the winter, which is a factor. I suspect that we will get a small, powerful space heater to start with and see how that works. For the immediate, I'm more concerned about air. I will probably begin with a window unit, but hope to have something installed right in the wall at some point .

  3. Looks great. Beats my greenhouse (not that I do crafts in there but I do like the solitude).
