I finally had a little "sit on the beach" time! I arrived at 8:30 in the morning to calm seas and 81 degrees. I lasted till 10:30, when the temperature had reached 90. Calm seas, calm air, intense sun. Even under a beach umbrella I can last just so long! It was an entertaining two hours though - this is "land-crab migration season" here in southern Florida. I tried chasing after these little creatures with my camera, but they would scoot down their burrowed holes before I even had a chance at a shot. I realized that the easiest way for me to take pictures of them was from my beach chair, under my umbrella!
