And Now - For a Few More Of My Favorite Things!

As this posts, we will be enjoying a relaxing stay on Cape Cod.  This is the third October, instead of summer vacation, that we have been on the Cape.  Autumn on the Cape is extraordinary.  I don't care that it's too cold to swim (recent sightings of great whites off the Cape make this doubly ok - see photo below!), and while I hope that we have good weather, it's ok if it's not.  This is all about my husband and me - unrushed, unscheduled.  Oh - it is also about the seafood too!
This photo was taken in the summer of 2012, right near where we usually swim!  (AP Photo/Shelly Negrotti)

In the meantime, I'm sharing a few things that I have recently found on the web - enjoy!

  1. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... We used to have an Autumn holiday on Cape Cod, every year, for years and years. We loved it! Probably saw everything there was to see on the Cape. And loved Nausette Beach.

Well, any beach is wonderful. But Gladys Taber loved Nausette Beach and that's how we came to return to it...

But my husband's eyesight has failed him and I don't drive big roads. And there's no way of getting to Cape Cod, from NYS, but to drive around Boston. -shiver- So, no more.

    Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then, enjoy it some more, for me. :-)

  2. Oh, it must be wonderful to be by the sea in autumn! Walks along the beach with the cold breeze and afterwards a warm cup of tea or a glass of wine... just great! I hope you have a wonderful time! Enjoy yourself!!!

And thanks for sharing your favourites!

  4. Love the "fireworks" video - I'm a sucker for father-daughter stuff! That Halloween costume rocks! I might just have to whip that up for myself.... :)
