"Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night, stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." ~ Herodotus, 503 B.C. and Unofficial Post Office Motto

So - Saturday was World Wide Knit in Public Day!  The fact that it was pouring on our little patch of the globe did not stop us!  In the days approaching WWKPD, our numbers dwindled due to one obligation or conflict after another.  Not to have our spirits dampened (every pun intended) the four of us who were able to attend holed up under Sue's tent where she sells her delicious maple sugar products at the Homer Farmers' Market.  We shared, as we always do, laughs, tales of our friends and family, and wonderful company.

We did eventually adjourn to our LYS (local yarn store) Spun Right Round to continue our knitting once the farmers' market was beginning to wind down.

One thing I know for sure - to quote one of the participants - we are "intrepid, all-weather knitters!"
