Summer is indeed winding down, but the daytime temps are still awfully high here. Mornings are cooler, the sun is setting earlier, Autumn is surely on it's way!
What an apt quotation. For the last week I have been unsure whether to wear sandals and shorts or trainers and jeans. Also and yes suddenly and in line with your photos everything in the garden is being harvested and there are now large bare patches, whilst my kitchen is full of produce for freezing, jam-making and bottling.
