"Be grateful for the home you have, knowing that at this moment, all you have is all you need." ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach

"An exercise in patience." "It's out of our hands." "You'll know as soon as we know." So yes, we continue our housing waiting game, though the next couple of days will bring things to a head one way or the other! In the meantime, knitting is helping me through, as it has over the years. I told my knitting friends last night that until we are moved and unpacked, any projects that I do will be knit on size two needles. Those are the only ones not buried in boxes!

I finally completed Bruce's Green Bay Packers Christmas stocking last week - there's not another like it anywhere! I then decided to do a stocking for myself. Being the third one that I've done ( remember Alex's in December) I'm finding that my most recent project is pretty much flying off of my needles. I have found that I love doing color work. The design just flows from your fingers - it's a different kind of creation, and I really enjoy it!

Since Christmas is a ways off, I'll not worry if I need to set this aside in order to move. That's one of the lovely things about knitting - you can set it down and it waits patiently for you to pick it back up whenever you are ready!

  1. Gorgeous work, Super T.! Just the right size to hold treats and small treasures on Christmas morning, where ever they may be hanging this year. Like you, knitting is always within my reach. :)

  2. Absolutely beautiful work and your stitches are so even. I can knit evenly only with one color :/
