"A wonderful bird is the pelican - his bill will hold more than his belican. He can take in his beak, food enough for a week, but I’m damned if I see how the helican." ~ Dixon Lanier Merritt

With family in town once again, we are hitting up the sights that are sure to please. We took another cruise to see the wildlife and were treated yet again to pelicans, dolphins; egrets; cormorants; and osprey.  There was even a bald eagle in a nest too far away to get a good shot.  A wonderful, wonderful day!

  1. I love your quote! So glad you got out on the water again. Before you know it, you'll be on the road, on your way home. Keep soaking it up Tracy!

  2. So much nature, how exciting. It is so sad not everyone get to see what you do. We have eagles nesting in our trees. They are soo loud when they chat!! Clarice

    1. Thank you, Clarice - I do know how lucky we have been to see the things that we have - it is a treat and a treasure! We had young hawks in our backyard last summer - we did love them, but their 6:00 a.m. screeches did begin to wear thin!
