"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." ~ Dr. Seuss

This weekend, I returned to Vermont for my niece Mairead's wedding.  Remember the 150 bars of soap that I made back in May for the wedding reception? This was it!!  There was just the hint of autumn crispness in the air and the first blush of color on the leaves.

I'd be writing into the night if I put into words the wonderful time that all of the friends and family had at this event.  So - I will really try to be brief.  It was a tremendous, memory-making event ~ one that we will reminisce  about for the remainder of our days.

Beautiful day, beautiful setting, beautiful bride, fabulous friends and family.

One of the most wonderful things about this weekend was that the cousins could get together.  Two of my sisters and I were each expecting our first children at the same time! There are now six cousins in all, and we have tried to get them together when we could over the years. We had each others' company as sisters, but never a first cousin.  They have delighted in each other and we have delighted in them.  Now as young adults, they had something of a "Cousin-Fest" this weekend, and at one point even made a boisterous toast where they were sitting ~ "To The Kids' Table!!"

But, most importantly -

To Andrew and Mairead!

Much love and happiness in the years to come!
